Sunday the Twisted Sisterz took on Sumie Sukai and Jenny Rose for Aspire Pro in Pennsauken, NJ. It was their last stop on the 3 week east coast tour. They fought a great match but in the end got a little too cocky and Rose & Sukai took advantage for the win. It capped off a 20-day, 5-show, 6-town tour that started on Jan 14th in Staten Island. We'll have to wait and see when the Sisterz are available again to start a whole new east coast tour in the warmer months to come.

Led to the ring by her partner and Twisted Sister, Holidead, Thunder Rosa participated in probably the match of her young career. She was about to take on a wrestling legend in NWA Women's Champion Jazz. With decades of experience and mainstream titles on her resume Jazz was the sure pick in this match. But we have learned never to count out the spunky energy level of Thunder Rosa. The Lucha Underground star gave Jazz everything she could handle as well as being a "handful" to the referee. During a chop spot Rosa came back and back slapped the referee rendering him stunned for about 30 seconds. During this moment, Jazz was able to gain ground control fold up Rosa in a pin and use the ropes for leverage without the dazed ref even knowing what happened. The match was awarded to Jazz and she remained world champion. Was this another list of disappointing matches so far on this east coast trip? The Twisted Sisterz lost in a triple threat at WOW on Jan 14th, wrestled to a draw against each other at SWF Live on Jan 20th, Each lost their respective matches at Pro Wrestling Magic on Jan 21st, and now Rosa losses her championship match at NWA Big Apple on Jan 27th. One more match remains as the Twisted Sisterz take on the combo of Jenny Rose & Sumie Sukai at Aspire Pro on Jan 29th before heading back to the West Coast. Will they get into the win column? Time will tell! My opinion win or lose the Twisted Sisterz made an impact on this trip!!

One again in a case of a Indy wrestling "expert" running his mouth about talent he knew nothing about we have locker room controversy. Now was this opinion made by an agent? No A wrestling promoter? No, A booking agent? No, ok so maybe it was made by a local paper or blog following the Twisted Sisterz.. Nope! It was made by an individual who will NOT get his 5 minutes of fame and be named. Just know we know who you are and now we know you true colors. This individual questioned WOW owner Joey Bellini on why he was bringing in the Twisted Sisterz and basically insulting the boys in the locker room by paying them. Anyone who knows anything about independent wrestling knows the duo of Thunder Rosa & Holidead and their lucha prowess. TR who wrestles as Kobra Moon for Lucha Underground and Holidead who along with Rosa just returned home from a successful tour of Japan wrestling at Stardom. During the Twisted Sisterz stay they did what they would normally do, work out daily, hit the gym, and attend as many training classes as possible. They worked out with the WOW roster 2 of the 4 days leading up to New Beginnings. They were welcomed by the roster and highly accepted by the trainers. They while working hard were leading by example without even knowing. Their west coast strong style approach was being seen in a WOW ring for the first time for many of these athletes. Never allowing that to go to their head they worked on basics and everything the trainers threw out there for them to tackle.
Finally the day was here! New Beginnings! Right off the bat our very opinionated non fan tried to intervene in their match in every way possible. Little did he know his actions was showing the girls total disrespect acting is if they didn't know their craft. Well when the Twisted Sisterz were announced they were cheered with the largest pop of the night as the fans chanted their names and lucha lucha lucha! After the match was over in defeat the fans continued to show their support and chant the Twisted Sisterz name as they exited the ring. It seems to me as an observer that the fans got what they wanted. The Sisterz did extremely well at the gimmick table selling merchandise to the appreciative fans! The Twisted Sisterz would like to let the Warriors of Wrestling Nation and locker room know they enjoyed their visit and hope to come again soon. And why not it was a successful visit! The opinions of one does not out weigh the many! Those who left us in 2016 from the world of wrestling
Eric Bischoff a man who doesn't get enough credit in the world of professional wrestling. A man who started the Monday Night Wars when he was handed the reigns and checkbook for WCW. Signing superstars like Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash started it. But it wasn't until Alundrya Blaza aka Medusa went on Nitro and threw the WWF Women's Championship in the garbage pail. That was the official start on the MNW. Numerous golden ERA stars followed and both WCW and WWE/F pushed themselves to be bigger and better for almost a decade. Bischoff tried things that weren't heard of. He would announce results of RAW that were pre taped on episodes of Nitro so people wouldn't change the channel to see. He changed Nitro to a live show forcing WWE to the same with RAW. At one point WCW was leading the monday night ratings. A combinaion of bad writing, lack of creativity, and too many chiefs and no indians led to WCW's demise and eventual sale to WWE and Vince McMahon. Though we look back and see that many would be hall of famers were once a part of Bischoff's Nitro: Hulk Hogan, Iron Shiek, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, 4-Horsemen, Ric Flair, Rickey Steamboat, Big Bossman, Alundrya Blaze, Sensational Sherri, Booker T, Honkey Tonk Man, Ted DiBiase Sr, Ultimate Warrior, Eddie Guerrero, Sting, and more.
